FCN Launches the European Sports Leadership & Coaching Network

The Female Coaching Network are launching a brand new project aimed at connecting women across Europe who work, volunteer or have an interest in sports leadership and coaching.

The FCN | European Sports Leadership & Coaching Network aims to provide an interactive and supportive platform for women in sports leadership and coaching to connect, share and develop. The project will encourage discussion on a variety of topics including; how to navigate through a male dominated arena, negotiating salaries and insights into the workings of the high performance sports industry.

Starting in September 2020, on the first Monday of each month, the FCN will host an online webinar with a special guest who has a leadership / coaching role, or leadership / coaching experience within sport. The guest will share insights into their own leadership / coaching journey as well as opening themselves up to questions from attendees.

Each webinar will last around 60 – 90 minutes and due to the open nature of the webinars, will not be recorded or made available for future viewing.

At the half way point of each month, the FCN will encourage attendees to write about their own experience, learnings and understandings of the sports industry, within insights published on the dedicated FCN | European Sports Leadership Network website page for all to read.

Anna Patsios – co-host of the FCN | European Sports Leadership Network

My Name is Anna Patsios and 28 years ago I was born in Vienna, Austria in a very sporty family. Growing up I was swimming in competitions, getting my snowboarding instructor license and made it to the 2nd highest league in football in Austria. Besides these sports I also very much enjoy skiing, climbing and golf. Studying sports seemed like the logical choice for me, where at the same time I also started coaching children in football.  Now after finishing my Master Studies in Sportmanagement I changed my career path to business development at Zoom Video Communications. The FCN | European Sports Leadership & Coaching Network is a very exciting project for me and a way to stay connected to my love for sports. I can’t wait to be part of a network that inspires and empowers women in sports and in their leadership qualities.
