The Achieving Gender Equity in High Performance Athletics Coaching in the UK – Stage 1 report presents the foundational statistical analysis that underpins the wider research project into gender equity within high-performance athletics coaching in the UK. Produced by the Female Coaching Network in partnership with Leeds Beckett University, the report examines the representation of women coaches across coach education pathways, international team appointments, conference presenters, and athlete coaching profiles. The data highlights the significant underrepresentation of women in Olympic and elite coaching environments, while also identifying areas where female coaches are more visible, particularly within disability sport and participation-focused coaching pathways.
